Rev. Dr. S. Jayaraj Krishnan, PhD, is the Founder and Executive Director of the Indian Christian Mission Center, an educational and charitable Trust with 33 years of experience that runs the Salem Christian College of Arts and Science. His cheerfulness coupled with an all-encompassing love and affection for the destitute makes him a gem of a person. With an innate interest in undertaking productive and practical projects in the greater interest of the educational as well as charitable sectors, he infallibly makes sure that his endeavours are brought to fruition. As a powerful orator, his speeches laced with wit and intellect, spontaneously touch the chords of the audience. He is astutely supported by his wife Dr. Mrs. Jayaseeli Christy who is the Secretary of the Trust and the Correspondent of all the educational institutions. She is an humble, genial and a benevolent person with a colossal interest in educating the have nots. She devotedly spends much of her time in prayer and is fruitfully occupied in sincerely managing the day-to-day affairs of ICMC on all fronts. She has been instrumental in motivating the principals and faculty members of all the institutes under the ICMC banner and is a role model to many women and students. With a flair for teaching, her insightful academic excellence and elegance has helped ICMC scale great heights. Rev. Dr. S. Jayaraj Krishnan and Dr. Mrs. Jayaseeli Christy have been blessed with three children – Rev. Dr. J. David Livingston (M. A., B. Ed., M. B. A., M. Div-USA, PhD.,), Dr. J. Neva Lily Esther (MBBS., PG Diploma in Diabetology., MD-Pediatrics,) and Rev. J. Basil Bright (B. Min – Australia, M. A., B. Ed., LLB).
Having been established in the year 1988, ICMC has veritably proved to be an iconic organization which caters to the amplifying demands of the children coming from the low strata of the society. With an enhanced workforce and a committed team of professionals, the Trust has been instrumental in shaping the lives of more than twenty thousand children so far by reaching out to them when they needed support, love and care the most.
